Terra Mala is a small resort on the southeast coast of Sardinia. Previously only accessible on the coast road from Cagliari, a new by-pass has now made it easier to get to. Not as well known, and therefore not as extensively developed as northern Sardinia, the area is nevertheless popular in the summer months with Italians from the mainland and there are plenty of facilities nearby during this period.

Along the coast road east of Terra Mala, there are stunning beaches, some well catered for with sun beds, boats and beach side tavernas, whilst others offer less facilities but still enjoying the same great white sand and gently shelving clear blue sea.

Watersports, scuba diving, tennis, horse riding and a water park are all within easy reach of the villa whilst an international golf course is less than an hours drive away. Hill walking can be enjoyed in the nearby Setti Fratelli national park and day trips to further national parks and coastal areas such as Costa Rei and Costa Verde are also recommended. For the archaeologically minded there are Roman and Nuraghic ruins to explore in the area as well.

There are numerous restaurants, three supermarkets and two pharmacies in the immediate locality with Cagliari itself offering much more choice.
